El Paso is home to the company’s largest U.S. manufacturing campus, where its workforce produces critical equipment that supports utilities, manufacturing, energy infrastructure, and other essential industries.

Schneider Electric’s continued investment in El Paso has strengthened the region’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and reinforced its position as a hub for advanced electrical manufacturing in North America. In 2025, the company announced an expansion of its El Paso operations as part of more than $700 million in investment across its U.S. operations through 2027, the largest single capital investment in Schneider Electric’s 135-year history in the United States. The expansion will increase production capacity for switchgear and power distribution equipment to meet growing demand across utilities, manufacturing, and energy infrastructure.

The El Paso campus is also recognized for its leadership in innovation and advanced manufacturing. In 2025, the World Economic Forum designated the facility as Schneider Electric’s first Engineer-to-Order Lighthouse and the first U.S. site since 2021 to receive the designation. The recognition highlights the campus’s use of advanced digital technologies and AI-driven solutions to improve agility, customization, and responsiveness in manufacturing.

Schneider Electric’s contributions extend beyond its manufacturing operations. The company is a longstanding partner in local schools, workforce development programs, festivals, and career fairs, supporting efforts to strengthen the region’s talent pipeline. In 2025, Schneider Electric and El Paso County also launched a major infrastructure modernization initiative across 30 county facilities, expected to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and generate an estimated $40 million in savings for the county over 20 years.
