WHAT IS WORLDQUEST?

Academic WorldQuest is a flagship education program of the national network of World Affairs Councils. It is a team-based challenge testing high school students' knowledge of international affairs. Four-person teams compete by answering multiple questions divided into ten unique themes. Approximately 3,000 students across the country participate in competitions hosted by over 40 local World Affairs Councils.

Over 30 teams from high schools across El Paso County, Las Cruces, and Ciudad Juarez have signed up to compete in Borderplex Academic WorldQuest.  Having a team from Ciudad Juarez participate in the competition also makes this the first ever binational competition World Affairs Councils of America has seen among its local councils.  The winning team from our local competition will go to Washington D.C. to compete with teams from across the country later this April for a chance to win a national academic scholarship.
